Laser Hair Removal

If you don’t shave, you wax and tweeze, which gets tiring pretty quickly. Laser Hair Removal is a great option and one of the simpler and most common cosmetic procedures.

Laser is a great solution for

  • Facial hair
  • Legs
  • Arms
  • Bikini Line
  • Underarm
  • Or any other area on your body

Both men and women undergo laser hair removal treatments.  Cosmetic Surgeons, dermatologists, medical spas and other medical professionals can provide the treatment in an office setting.

Using lasers for hair removal is a great option because it is precise in targeting the area requiring attention.  It is also a quick procedure and has a high success rate of hair loss among patients.

About Laser Hair Removal

How many laser treatments will I need?

Each patient is different. Almost all patients will require multiple visits, between four to six visits to achieve acceptable results.

It takes approximately six weeks for new hair to form. The additional laser hair removal treatments are addressing the new formed hair follicles.

Are there any side effects?

Like any other treatment or cosmetic procedure, it requires a great level of detail.

The hair follicles are destroyed because of the beam of concentrated light.  This can burn the skin surrounding the treated area.  This is why it’s important to be selective when choosing your cosmetic provider.

Your experienced cosmetic provider will make required adjustments in the levels or number of visits you will require based on your skin tone and type.

Does it hurt?

You may experience minor discomfort, during the procedure you and your cosmetic provider will protect your eyes with eye gear.

Depending on the area being treated and the patient’s pain tolerance level, your provider may apply topical numbing medication to make the treatment more comfortable.

Cooling gel will also be used during the treatment.  After the treatment, you can apply anti-inflammation lotion and use an ice-pack to relieve any discomfort.

What else do I need to know?

Laser hair removal is a medical treatment that requires a trained, experienced and licensed professional.

While you’re undergoing the laser hair removal treatments, refrain from waxing, shaving or cutting the unwanted hair.

You may require more visits than someone else. It’s important to trust your provider and what they suggest for your particular skin type and tone.

Your visits will continue until all the hair in the area has discontinued.  During your visit, other non-invasive cosmetic treatments can be combined with your laser hair removal treatment.

Even more?

You will love not having to deal with the nicks and cuts from shaving ever again.
